Alright, we're officially done with preproduction as of today. Tomorrow morning we start our journey home to begin actual production! That means we begin recording the CD. Wow!

Also on Wednesday, September 10th 2008 at 9:30 PM Eastern we will have another webcast. This webcast is a special one because that's when we're going to announce the title of the album. We'll also be mentioning somewhere in there the tentative song titles. Holy crap!

So make sure you're there or you'll... probably be elsewhere.

Yes, my stupid birthday is coming up. Since we're in the middle of preproduction for our album, we decided that we should CELEBRATE! So we're gonna have us a webcast party thing. Yes!

The day shall henceforth be known as RAWRBDAY.

August 31st, 2008. 9:00 PM eastern!

Things to remember:

1. It's a drunken webcast. This means your can buy us shots. We will get hammered and be even MORE awesome than normal.
2. The proceeds from the shots will go to RAWRBDAY PLAYSTATION 3 fund!
3. C'mon, it's my birthday!

So in our last update you probably noticed that thanks to your donations, we were able to buy Alex some new drum pedals.

Now Alex is attempting to sell his crappy old drum pedals. Yeah, only a Psychostick drummer is dumb enough to do that. All the proceeds will go towards a new highhat stand that he needs.

Wow, clever? Not so much.

Well preproduction for the album officially began yesterday. Jimmy arrived in town today and in a few days Alex gets in. Hurray!

I've got a photo album where I'll post pictures daily. If I miss a day that means there was nothing interesting to photograph I guess. Shut up!

DVD Status Update!

Yeah, you're all refreshing this page for an update. Right? RIGHT?!

Of course you are.

It's looking likely that the release date will get pushed back a bit. We're about to start preproduction on the next CD, and I want to capture some footage of that for the DVD.

Plus I'd like to get some shots of us in the studio, slaving away at the next CD. YEEAH!

We're also accepting fan submissions of video! If you're got yourself rocking out to "BEER!" or any other song, or if your band is covering a Psychostick song, or if you just wanna send us something of you doing SOMETHING Psychostick related, you can send it to us! We can't promise you it'll make the cut, but we'll make sure we take a good look at it. Rawr.

Whooo. Awesome memories were created on Friday due to that crazy Mayhem festival we played. Watch the video here.

One of the coolest moments for me personally that entire day was getting to meet Machine Head (Fun Fact: Machine Head is a HUGE influence on Psychostick's musical style). One thing is for sure, they're awesome guys and I hope we get to tour or play shows with 'em again someday.

Anyway, we're up to 12.8% of our album fundraiser goal as of today! Awesome awesome awesome. Thanks everyone for putting your hard earned money into the cause. We'll make sure this next album is the best album since... uhh, Stevie Wonder?

I'm hungry.
