Been recording Sandwich mostly so this has been on the backburner for a bit. Jarsh had done some "testing" of the DVD and one this was for certain: It was too long and drawn out! So I'm going in and cutting all the boring stuff and keeping the gold. You will thank me once you buy it.

Going from 5 hours to possibly 2 or less is something you will thank me for.

As you can see, I finished the artwork for the casing. You can't see the back... only the front! And that "coming soon" thing won't be on the cover either, so don't worry.

I also finished the little bit of animation for certain parts of the DVD. Today we're going to wrap up the band interviews and the segment intros and BAM, I've got everything I need to finish! I still don't know exactly when I'll be done or when the DVD will be released, but the light at the end of the tunnel is visible. I showed Jarsh some clips yesterday and he's all, "Holy crap, four hours?" YES four hours... and that's after 30 hours of cutting!

In a few I'll be heading in the studio to do some recording. After than we'll get the rest of everything. I can't wait to be done with this - while it's been fun, it's also been a royal pain in the... nostril. Like one of those stray nostril hairs you pull out and you're like, "Fuck that hurt! That was a nose hair!"

Our label needs more Sandwich stuff so I had to, YET AGAIN, put the DVD production aside for a bit. I should have that wrapped up this week so I can focus more on it. There's really just the interviews, menus, and other little things that are left. The artwork for the front cover is done. I should be posting that soon!

Cutting footage is DONE! This is the worst part of the editing and I'm really glad to be done with it. Next I have to assemble the remainder of the chapters. Once that's done, there's some animation and graphics that come up. Then the main menu, then... final assembly.

Once a test assembly is done we're all gonna watch it. 99% of the time the guys will find errors that need fixing. Then after THAT it should be done. HAR HAR.

We also renamed the DVD. It's still tentative unless we come up with something better, but for now the new title is, "Psychostick: The Birthening."

Holy crap I did a ton. Worked on the DVD for something like 10 hours today. Yay. I'm about 90% done with the footage wrangling. Cutting 30+ hours down to about 4 isn't as easy as you'd think. Or maybe it is.

I've got one more tour left and then... the fun stuff! Menus, graphics, etc. Then the DVD artwork. OOOH! My goal is to have everything done this week somehow. Don't know how but I'm gonna keep trying.

Ok, I got tons done on this thing over the past few days. I started recording some funny intros to each segment. Another tedious part of this has also just started: Fun Facts. The Fun Facts are small captions during the DVD spot that point out funny interesting things to note about Psychostick or the thing you're watching. Good stuff.

Part of this process involves cutting EVEN MORE from the past two tours to fit onto this DVD. I don't want to cut too much but I want to leave in as much good stuff as I can. Hopefully the quality of encoding won't suffer, which I think it won't.

I actually finished another much needed project today and went through the remainder of the Terrible Shirt Tour footage. There was something like 20 hours of footage and I managed to scale it down to 5 hours. That's still too much so I gotta snip stuff even more...

That's not counting the other 10 or so hours of footage from other tours. Most of it is not needed so I should be able to fit everything just fine.

I'm hoping that I can get a double layered DVD nice and full, but if there's too much I may go dual sided. Hmmm.

Tomorrow is FOOTAGE day for me. I'll be watching all my work to organize things for chapter separation. Oh boy.

Still editing footage. Shot a bunch for the new CD creation. Preproduciton is going on downstairs. I'm pretty sure we're done writing everything, so now it's all about learning the songs.

This also means there's no release date just yet. Rawr. Hang in thawr!

Inception of this page. Basically things are pushed back a bit due to the need of NEW CD creation footage. We don't have a single frame of footage of the making of We Couldn't Think of a title... well, we USED to. Somewhere. Meeeh. Stupid lack of organization...

The past couple of weeks went to gathering ALL possible footage, plus I needed some R&R for sanity's sake.

I've finished cutting the first tour and the previous "mini" tour. TONS of edits were needed. That's all I'm saying. Heh.
