My excitement knows know bounds. This record is HEAVY and it is DUMB. Very dumb! There should be one or two more updates and then bam, Sandwich is done.

J did stuff! OMG

Now I don't know when exactly the coffee incident was fixed but it was a few days ago so we've been plugging away. I'm pleased to announce that all vocals are done, and later today I'm going in for one last sweep of touch ups, doubles, and small redos that need redoing.

Rejoice, for Sandwich is a day or two away from completion!

ARGGGG! Coffee calamity!

The studio is down today because coffee got spilled on the mixing board and it has to be taken apart and cleaned. That's the bad news. Good news is, it gives a chance to get away from the studio and give you guys an update personally!

We're kindof on the home stretch here... got the "prototype mix" done. That means we got one song to sound the way we want it to, so you just take what was done to that song and do it to all the other songs. Then you tweak all the songs after that. That's where I was before COFFEE.

My goal was to have it all done on Saturday (the 11th), although losing a day has definitely hindered that so it will probably be Sunday. ALAS.

But this record is sounding AWESOME, it's heavier and dumber and longer than our first cd. Just know that it will have been worth your wait.

Blizzard Entertainment (those guys who make WARLD OF WAWRCRAWRFT) doesn't release a game until it's done. We here at Psychostick would like to adopt that philosophy for our music. Maybe someday we'll make video games too. O_o

So we didn't hit our deadline for turning in the final master (that was two days ago). This was because more vocal tweaking is needed plus a couple of songs aren't fully vocalized yet. Let's also not forget that Jarsh is using all of his stupid brains to get the mix sounding like a sonic, orgasmic orgy for your ears.

So May 5th 2009 won't be the release date. We're gonna say... May-ish for now. :P

Yeees. Artwork is done for Sandwich. That's a huge step. We've finalized the track list too (that's kindof important for the art) and we'll be posting that eventually. It's a bit different than what we've shown before. Rawr.

Just got home from tour last night. Did some vocal work today, and we're gonna really start polishing things with the songs since they're due very soon.

Also, I've gotta get the arwork turned in by the end of the week. Scary.

On the road now doing the Holiday Hate tour Season 2. We got about 80% done with the record. All drums are done, vocals are mostly done, bass is 99% done, guitars are 80% done or so. I've listened to what we've got so far from start to finish and...

Holy Crap.

More or less, we're about 75% done with Sandwich. Alex and Jimmy finished the arranging of the name song and we're recording that on Sunday. I've finished about... 13.7 songs so far with a few pieces to wrap up to make it an even 15. There might even be a 19th song on the CD... but that's up in the air at this point.

One thing is for sure though - after this tour, we will finish this album and have a real release date in January sometime.

So far I've noticed a serious progression musically and lyrically with Psychostick. You will notice too. Rawr.

Heh, I didn't get to that 8th song due to vocal soreness, and THEN we had some computer issues. Recording had to be halted briefly so I could go in and format and reinstall everything. Took me quite a while but I got 'er done! I'm heading back over there tonight to record some more and test the system. Recording guitars is a very tedious process and without a correctly functioning system, it's even more tedious!

We should be done with all guitars, AND bass, before Alex gets here.

I think I have a final version of the front cover art. I gotta have things scrutinized by the ever critical eyes of bandmates first. Sometimes, and only sometimes, they have good perception. :P

Ooh, guess what? I'm going in to start on the 8th song tonight... vocal-wise! Jarsh told me that something like 60% of guitars are done, and that was two days ago. So it's probably more than that.

I also went crazy with the artwork today and got... well, a good 50% of it done. It looks awesome. Because I did it? Yeah, probably. You guys will get a real kick out of it once you see it pop up. Goooood times!

We've also been talking a bunch with Rock Ridge about release dates and marketing. They're super excited like we are. Hells yeah! There's not much I can reveal yet, but once we know more that's more "official" we'll post it!

I think Jarsh forgot that I made this page. Oh well, until his stupid face remembers I'll post updates!

I finished all my parts on The Hunger Within last night. It's stuck in my head right now. It's just screaming RADIO but we'll see after we finish the other 16 songs. :P I also finished Orange. That song rocks your genitials right off of your body.

A couple weeks ago I started on the artwork for the CD. I haven't touched it since but I'm probably gonna have to wrap it up next week if we want to get everything in on time.

Stupid DVD. Stupid business taxes.

New page! OMG! This is mostly for Jarsh and me but I'll chime in as I get closer on artwork. Joshy also is recording Guitars for Orange right now. I did 90% of the vocals for Orange the other day. It sounds tasty.

I really don't know how y'all can get through a recording session. I can only manage it when I feel like it. Hence, the total of 2 complete songs on my myspace page. And they suck. With the wonderful people that I've been in bands with, I don't think we could have ever actually written a song, let alone perform or record one without the drummer or somebody running off to play video games.
